You have chosen the most beautiful pair of heels for your wedding day. They pair perfectly with your wedding gown, they are the perfect shade, they have just the right amount of bling…they are breathtaking. The last thing on your mind is comfort. Those heels feel like heaven right now, but I can guarantee 6+ hours in those heels and your feet won’t feel so great. I would suggest buying a pair of cute flats or blinged out sneakers for the reception or at least the dancing part of the evening. Your feet will thank you for it!

Birdcage VeilMy very favorite type of veil would have to be the Mantilla Veil. For one it holds a very special place in my heart (I wore this type of veil for my own wedding) and it has such a wonderful Spanish flair. But a close second are Birdcage Veils.

Birdcage veils gained their popularity in the 1940’s among brides and I see they have made a comeback. They work well with vintage style wedding gowns, as well as, modern silhouettes.Birdcage VeilA birdcage veil is the perfect way to create drama from the neck up. A rule of thumb is wherever the veil ends on the body, that body part will become the focus, because it draws the eye to that very point. Therefore, your face becomes the center of attention, because the veil falls close to your nose or chin, creating a dramatic look. The model sports a sexy cat eye with a sultry dark lip.  While the second photo has a more playful dramatic look. The eye is smokey, but the lip color is more subdued. It’s Summer Giveaway Time!

I love the summer months, because it marks the beginning of wedding season (although our wedding season is really in the fall, that’s when we work the most), that means lots of weddings and engagement shoots.  It also marks vacation time at the Arriola House.  So many exciting things are occurring and I wanted to share the excitement.  So I thought ‘hey why not have a giveaway!’ And as you know I LOVE GIVEAWAYS! This one is fun and easy! I will be running this giveaway for the next two weeks, but if all goes well I may run it throughout the summer.

I am giving away one of our cute Lovely canvas bags each week.  It is the cutest and perfect for all your wedding papers, wedding planner, and anything else that needs to be wrangled. It’s printed with the word BRIDE, so everyone will know just who you are. And it’s pink!

The giveaway is only for engaged couples living in Texas. Both brides and grooms to be may participate.

HOW TO ENTER
Monday through Friday I will announce a question and all those who answer will receive one entry for every question they answer.  When you answer you must provide your wedding date and city you live in along with your answer or it will not be accepted.

I will gather all the entries for that particular week and pick a winner. The winner will be announced on Saturday on my blog Lovely & Amazing Weddings. (www.lovelyandamazingweddings.com)

The winner will then contact me via email (brenda@lovelyandamazingweddings.com) or FACEBOOK message and they will then provide me with their home address.  I will then mail them the canvas bag.

4. Must provide a home address to be mailed the Lovely canvas bag.
5. I will only be mailing the bags, I will not allow for pick ups of bag.
