I have a weakness for classic movies. You can find me plopped on the sofa on a Sunday afternoon enjoying an old classic movie on TCM.  I sit in awe watching the glamorous actresses in their beautifully coiffed hair, impeccably made up faces, and tailored to perfection clothing. They had a ladylike style that I wish still existed and I long for.  I want to wear gowns made of  lace, adorable gloves, cute hats, and carry chic clutches. I long for a life imbued with vintage flair.

For those of you who swoon over classic movies as I do, a wedding showered in vintage flair is a no brainer.  Lace, cascading bouquets, a pastel palette, and ladylike details scream vintage wedding. It is all in the ladylike details and nothing says vintage like delicate lace gloves or gorgeous pearls.

Paris Is Always A Good Idea

Yes it is! Lately I’ve been think about our amazing honeymoon.  One of the many places we had the opportunity to visit while in Europe was the “La Ville Lumiere” or “City of Lights”…Paris.  It was spectacular…We walked the streets of Paris enjoying our baguettes and crepes, tasted the most delicious macarons from Laduree, saw the most beautiful artwork in The Louvre,  witnessed the most breathtaking sites from the Eiffel Tower, and explored all the city’s extraordinary nooks and crannies. It was a trip I will NEVER forget. I can’t wait to go back and every day I ask hubby when we will return and he told me as soon as I learn to speak French. I purchased the Rosetta Stone for French (about two years ago), but sadly I have not gotten very far.  New Year’s Resolution…learn French. ParisIsAlwaysAGoodIdea
