Flowers are such an easy and wonderful way of accentuating or embellishing your wedding day hair…They are the exclamation to your hairdo.

Now to choose a flower or flowers for your big day. There are many different varieties and colors. So many options, how is one to make a choice? Well, here are a few things to keep in mind when choosing real flowers: What is in season? What will the weather be like and will the flower be affected by it? How delicate is the flower and will it withstand the elements? Has your hair stylist worked with real flowers before? Are you going to wear a veil and will it work harmoniously with the veil or interfere? Think about wearing your veil for the ceremony and affixing the flower/flowers for your reception.

If you are concerned with the freshness of a real flower you could always choose to go faux. So many faux flowers look real and are just as beautiful as their counterparts. You no longer have to worry about the flower/flowers wilting, drooping, falling apart etc. Some of the materials they come in are tulle, silk, velvet, felt etc. and they are easily found online, thrift stores or craft stores.

Don’t shove your beautiful cake in a sad little corner, let it take center stage. Create a unique vignette for your wedding cake, one your guests will take notice of and remember for years to come. Whether it stands alone or is surrounded by the most luxurious desserts, the possibilities are endless. Set a romantic scene by setting your cake underneath a huppah covered in lush flowers or chiffon draping and to up the glam factor hang a chandelier, as well. Create drama with the use of lighting, for instance spotlights or colored lighting. Create a wow factor by sitting your cake a top a plethora of roses/flowers or draping the cake table in cascading flowers. How about something to push the envelope…display the cake on a swing, yes a swing. A wood swing for those having a rustic wedding or a swing dripping in crystals for a more glamourous feel. The possibilities are truly endless.

Love…L…O…V…E…This four letter word is such a small word with great meaning. It is what has brought you two together. Love is the reason you have decided to make such a huge commitment to one another, so why not incorporate the very word into your wedding. Now how you go about representing that four letter word is up to you. I personally would go big on it, but whatever you decide will be amazing. Here are just a few ideas.

It is the beginning of a New Year. With a new year comes the inevitable list of resolutions we plan to keep for 2015. Sadly we usually break them within the first month or two.
